Past Event Highlights:

Throughout the year we host many events, check the feed below to register for our upcoming events. Below are the descriptions of past events:

Dia De Los Muertos:
An annual event that is tradition for many within Latin America, such as Mexico, to celebrate and honor deceased relatives and welcome their souls through ornate ofrendas (altars), décor, sweets such as pan de muerto and other cultural artifacts. All are invited to create their own ofrendas on campus at the UU Plaza!

Latine/x Heritage Month:
Typically occurring early in the fall quarter, LaCASA will host special events and programs highlighting critical issues that impact the Latine/x diaspora and honor the cultural significance of this comunidad.

Cafecito con Pan Dulce:
A proud partnership with the Native American and Indigenous Cultural Center, we host quarterly sessions for our student communities to come together and enjoy coffee with pan dulce.

Self-Care Events:
Quarterly programs hosted by LaCASA student staff that offer opportunities to center self and community care. Examples include Karaoke fun, paint or arts activities, workshops, game nights and more!

Mental Health Check-Ins :

Monthly drop-ins with a BIPOC-focused mental health counselor of Cal Poly’s health and wellbeing service. This can serve as a processing and dialogue space centering issues and topics brought up by our LaCASA student community.
